Vesak Celebration on Sunday May 9

No meeting, instead many of us will be at the Vesak Ceremony at the First Unitarian Church on Ellsworth in Shadyside. Vesak is the celebration of the Buddha's birthday. A number of local Buddhist groups will be there and each will do some active participation. A few of our members will be representing Laughing Rivers Sangha and a few will be representing Three Rivers Dharma Center. Feel free to join as at the ceremony at 3 pm. It is followed by a social. The event is the only event that brings Buddhists from all over the area to one gig.

We are meeting April 11 at 2 pm at Three Rivers Dharma. April 11 is Holocaust Remembrance Day. We will remember all those who were killed including lgbt people.

We will also focus on "Engaged Buddhism."
